About The Position
Arrow Wrecker Service is seeking a dedicated Daytime Dispatcher to join our team in Wichita, Kansas. As a dispatcher, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, setting their expectations and representing our company with professionalism and care. Our company provides a range of towing and recovery services to local and national clients, including insurance companies, body shops, repair shops, auto dealers, law enforcement, and the general public. We operate 24/7, and your role will be crucial in ensuring that our services are delivered efficiently and effectively. In this position, you will be responsible for receiving incoming requests for vehicle towing and recovery, as well as moving commercial machinery. You will need to assign and dispatch calls to our tow truck drivers, balancing workloads and ensuring that the correct vehicle and driver are assigned to meet the needs of each call. Excellent customer service, strong communication skills, and organizational abilities are essential, as you will be multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Your duties will include dispatching and tracking drivers, processing paperwork, receiving payments, and releasing vehicles. You will also be expected to maintain a calm and professional demeanor when interacting with both drivers and customers. A good geographic knowledge of our coverage areas, along with computer skills such as internet usage, email communication, and familiarity with mapping and GPS tracker software, will be beneficial in this role. Additionally, knowledge of DOT compliance is a plus. All employment offers are contingent upon the successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
