About The Position
The Learning Experience – Ledgewood is seeking a dependable and caring Daycare Teacher to support our classrooms during the afternoon and closing hours. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children and helping create a calm, structured, and engaging end-of-day environment. Our center serves infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children in a safe, nurturing, and play-based learning setting.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience working with children required
- Reliable, patient, and team-oriented
- Ability to meet all New Jersey childcare licensing and background requirements
Responsibilities
- Support classroom activities and routines during afternoon and closing hours
- Assist with transitions, meals, rest time, and end-of-day procedures
- Engage children in play-based learning and age-appropriate activities
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom
- Communicate professionally with families during pick-up
- Prepare classrooms for the following day
- Follow all New Jersey licensing, health, and safety requirements
