About The Position

The Daycare Provider provides direct childcare services in a structured childcare environment, supporting the care and development of children ranging from 6 weeks to 12 years of age. This role is responsible for implementing age-appropriate developmental activities, maintaining a safe and nurturing setting, and supporting daily routines that promote learning, growth, and well-being. Working as part of a collaborative childcare team, the Daycare Provider communicates regularly with families and contributes to a positive, welcoming environment built on trust and consistency. A strong commitment to attentiveness, reliability, and compassionate care is essential, as this position plays a key role in supporting the overall safety, development, and daily experiences of the children in care.

Requirements

  • Fingerprints are required to work in daycare positions in ND and we must get a clear result from the state of North Dakota to be able to work in our daycare. You may start working prior to fingerprint results as a daycare trainee but cannot work with the children or in the daycare until the results are returned clear. As a daycare trainee, your duties will be: Daycare web trainings, CPR class completion, mandatory education, and other duties as assigned. If your fingerprints are not returned clear from the state, you will be ineligible to continue in the position, and your position will be terminated.

  • The role requires standing, walking, lifting up to 40 pounds, frequent bending, reaching, and physical interaction with children. The ability to respond quickly, maintain safety, and perform active supervision is essential.
  • Work is performed in a childcare environment with exposure to noise, activity levels, cleaning agents, and frequent interaction with children and families. Compliance with safety and health standards is required.

Responsibilities

  • Engage children in age appropriate developmental activities and structured routines.
  • Monitor child safety and well being, responding promptly to needs and concerns.
  • Support meal, hygiene, rest, and transition routines in accordance with childcare guidelines.
  • Document daily activities and communicate with families as appropriate.
  • Maintain a clean, safe classroom environment and follow health regulations.
