About The Position

The Learning Experience is seeking a dependable and caring Childcare Center Cook to support our center by preparing nutritious meals and contributing to a safe, positive environment for children. This role is a vital part of our team and helps ensure that every child receives high-quality care throughout the day.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 1 year experience in food preparation or cooking; experience in childcare, school, or institutional settings preferred.
Ability to obtain a food handling certification within 90 days of hire.
Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Genuine passion for supporting the health and well-being of young children.

Responsibilities

Plan and prepare healthy, age-appropriate meals and snacks that meet nutritional guidelines.
Maintain up-to-date allergy lists and communicate clearly with teachers regarding children's dietary needs.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and storage procedures.
Work with the Center Director to order food and supplies and maintain inventory records.
Provide excellent customer service to staff, children, and families.
Support the daily needs of a busy daycare/preschool kitchen, maintaining a clean and organized work area.
