About The Position

The Day Warehouse Manager is responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely receiving and storage of all inbound products. This role ensures the security of the entire facility during the day and strives to operate the day warehouse in a profitable and safe manner. The manager will develop Day Warehouse Supervisors through training on policies and procedures, assist in problem resolution, and lead by example. The position involves creating a cohesive organization by maintaining open lines of communication and directing the workforce to ensure efficient workflow.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
• A minimum of five years experience in warehouse supervision required.
• Able to interpret financial and operational data.
• Basic computer skills.
• Familiarity with inventory control, OSHA, HAACP, and other regulatory requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication, and people development skills.
• Broad knowledge of warehouse operations, methods, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop Day Warehouse Supervisors through training on policy & procedures.
• Create a cohesive organization by keeping lines of communication open.
• Direct workforce to ensure efficient workflow.
• Responsible for interview, hiring, review, discipline, and termination process for day warehouse personnel.
• Develop production flow processes and identify process improvement and cost reduction strategies.
• Establish and maintain operational procedures for verifying incoming shipments and handling product.
• Monitor operational data, including inventory losses and production goals.
• Ensure integrity of products and compliance with food safety standards.
• Oversee maintenance of the warehouse and equipment in compliance with OSHA requirements.
• Assist in interpreting provisions of the collective bargaining agreement in Union facilities.
