About The Position

The Clinical Counselor with the Children's Day treatment program reports to the Program leader. Under the direction of a independently licensed clinician, the Clinical Counselor is responsible for providing behavioral health care as directed by the multi-disciplinary treatment plan, including but not limited to facilitation of psychosocial rehab groups, behavior modification, individual therapeutic interventions and promotes the safety of the therapeutic environment. The Clinical Counselor assists with orientation and training of new employees, is involved in program development and implementation and represents the program on school wide teams and committees as assigned. Masters Degree in a Behavioral Science which provides guidelines for determination of significant aspects of human behavior preferred. Or a Master’s Degree in Human Services or closely related field and experience in therapeutic programs in the field of mental or behavioral health. Must be certified in BLS within the first 6 months of employment and bi-annually for BLS. LMSW or LPCA Required. This position is an in person position in ROCK HILL, SC schools. Additional Job Description Education: Master's degree in a social work or social welfare program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. Credentials: MSW licensure by the South Carolina Board of Social Work Examiners. Certification in case management preferred. Requirements

  • Masters Degree in a Behavioral Science which provides guidelines for determination of significant aspects of human behavior preferred.
