Day-To-Day Substitutes For Summer Enrichment English Learner Program
About The Position
This program is designed to involve English learner students in opportunities that allow them to continue their language acquisition in English throughout the summer months and to prevent language loss. The program is meant to be summer camp in style and offer a wide variety of hands-on activities (especially focused in the areas of the arts and science), read alouds, outdoor play, and lots of opportunities for conversation in English. In the instance that the usual teacher is unexpectedly absent, we are looking for possible substitutes. Substitutes will be hired on an as-needed basis. PROGRAM DATES: July 6th - August 6th, 2026 (5 weeks) PROGRAM TIMES AND LOCATIONS: Lower Elementary Summer Program (group of about 10-12 students) Tuesday - Thursday 8:00am - 12:00pm at DiPietro Elementary School Upper Elementary Summer Program (group of about 10-12 students) Monday - Wednesday 9:00am - 1:00pm at DiPietro Elementary School
Requirements
- Experience teaching or assisting students in the required grade level.
Nice To Haves
- MA Educator License (elementary) plus SEI Endorsement and/or ESL Licensure (elementary) preferred
