About The Position

The Steve Dent Day Services Program has been developed to support persons experience disability and isolation to attain and maintain self-selected, valued community roles which reflect their interests, talents, preferences, gifts, and allow them the full decision-making ability in their life, connections, and expressions.

Requirements

21 years of age or older.
Valid driver’s license in good standing and 5 years of driving experience.
Successful clearance of local and or state background checks.
Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English

Nice To Haves

2-3 years of experience working with people with cognitive processing skills.
Any combination of allied health, psychology, medical or pre-nursing coursework

Responsibilities

Be informed and now all the individual needs on a person-centered basis.
Assist in creating a monthly activity calendar that is both informative and creative for all needs.
Assist clients in achieving their individualized goals such as development of life skills.
Facilitate community integration by accompanying participants on outings, volunteering, and participating in local events.
Provide support and assistance to participants, including personal care, mobility assistance, and behavioral support
Ensure the health and safety of clients including providing first aid and responding to emergencies.
Maintain accurate and timely records/reports of participant progress, including goal attainment, support provided, and behavior or medical concerns.
Flexible in their willingness to work with their supervisor to devise supportive and fun activities.
A responsible steward of resources who actively participates in program inventory management.
