We hire those dedicated to making a difference in people’s lives. Who we are looking for: We are looking for a compassionate and engaging individual supervise one of our Day sites. As a supervisor you will staff and coordinate a variety of activities to support individuals with developmental disabilities in Dayhab settings including community-based activities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 2 years of experience in direct support working with the developmentally disabled
- A valid NYS driver's license and ability to drive and driving record acceptable for agency insurance coverage are required.
- Daily access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities
- Assists the Day Services Manager or Director in coordinating, supervising, developing staff and managing work schedules.
- Participates in the interviewing and hiring of new Direct Support Professionals.
- Works collaboratively with individuals & families as appropriate.
- Participates in life plan meetings
- Maintains a person-centered approach and participates in activities to build competencies and integrate individuals into their communities.
- Provides instruction and assistance to individuals in areas of daily living including but not limited to personal hygiene, social interaction, use of leisure time and others according to their goals.
- Performs direct support staff responsibilities as needed
- Completes, monitors and trains staff on all mandated reporting requirements.
