About The Position

Join Wildwood as we expand our Day Services Program into the Schenectady area!

In our Day Programs, staff develop and implement activities that build essential life skills, including Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), social and communication skills, work readiness, and safety skills. Our programs are designed to promote independence, personal growth, and community inclusion.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S)
• 1 year experience working with people with developmental disabilities
• 1 year supervisory experience working with people with developmental disabilities or equivalent combination of education and experience
• A valid NYS driver's license and ability to drive and driving record acceptable for agency insurance coverage are required.
• Daily access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Manages the day-to-day operation of the Day Habilitation program.
• Orders supplies, supports staff in planning and obtaining materials needed for their groups.
• Develops and monitors communication processes among individuals, families, care managers, supports, and staff.
• Coordinates the individuals activities with other programs in Wildwood and the community.
• Responsible for overseeing arrivals, departures, and all necessary documentation.
• Writes plans, oversees completion of daily notes and maintains supporting files for billing purposes.
• Ensures compliance with OPWDD and agency regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Monitors: staff training needs and requirements as well as expenditures to meet budget requirements
• Plans work schedules & helps develop budgets in conjunction with the Director.
