Position Overview Our Day Services program is community-based , meaning you will support individuals out in the community — participating in local activities, events, volunteer opportunities, and skill-building experiences throughout the Columbus area. Schedule: 20 hours per week Monday–Friday 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. As a DSP in Day Services, your role centers on dignity, relationships, and skill-building. You are not simply providing care — you are helping individuals experience independence, joy, and true community inclusion.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
  • Strong communication skills, patience, and teamwork
  • Passion for inclusion and supporting individuals with disabilities

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree preferred (not required)
  • Experience is helpful but not required. We value heart, attitude, and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Support individuals in community-based activities and local events
  • Assist with development of communication, life, and social skills
  • Foster independence through individualized goal-based support
  • Provide respectful, positive behavioral supports
  • Advocate for individual rights, choice, and inclusion
  • Collaborate with families and team members to ensure meaningful outcomes
