About The Position

PCBC Day School is seeking a joyful, faith-filled Music and Chapel Teacher to join our team. This individual will play a meaningful role in nurturing young children through music, movement, and Biblical teaching in a loving, Christ-centered environment. Working alongside a collaborative and supportive staff, the teacher will help create engaging experiences that encourage children’s spiritual, social, and creative development. This role offers opportunities for both teamwork and independent initiative under the guidance of the Day School Director.

Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field
Strong organizational, communication, and basic technology skills for lesson planning and training
Ability to actively engage with young children, including standing, moving, and participating in physical activities
Occasional lifting (20–40 pounds) and assisting children as needed
Comfort working with diverse learning styles, behaviors, families, and team members

Nice To Haves

1–3 years of experience in a preschool, kindergarten, or elementary setting preferred

Responsibilities

Plan and lead engaging weekly music activities for children ages Infants through Pre-K/TK, incorporating songs, rhythm, and movement
Prepare and share age-appropriate Bible lessons that support children’s spiritual growth
Collaborate with the Director to develop and enhance curriculum
Foster a warm, positive, and Christ-centered classroom environment
Maintain a well-organized music classroom with materials ready for daily use
Operate basic sound and lighting equipment for music activities and programs
Lead and coordinate two school-wide programs each year
Follow all licensing requirements, including annual training, CPR/First Aid certification, and Texas Minimum Standards
Support children with care, patience, and enthusiasm
Perform additional duties as assigned
