The Home Health Aide plays a vital role in delivering compassionate, personalized care to our Seniors. This position is based on-site at our Johnstown location , where you’ll provide one-on-one support in our Day Room setting. There is no travel with this position. Key responsibilities include: Providing direct, individualized care in a structured day program environment Assisting with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and oral hygiene Supporting therapeutic exercises and activities as guided by on-site physical, occupational, and speech therapists Administering medications under the supervision of an on-site Registered Nurse (RN) Observing and reporting changes in patients’ conditions to RNs or therapists Promoting a safe and supportive environment, reporting any potential safety concerns Accurately documenting patient care and activity as required Performing additional duties based on individual care plans or team direction This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working in a collaborative, supportive environment dedicated to high-quality senior care.
Requirements
- Strong ability to assist with personal care tasks while respecting client dignity and privacy.
- Familiarity with home care systems and medical terminology is preferred.
- Knowledge of CPR techniques and first aid procedures is beneficial.
- Experience in assisted living or home health environments is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to lift clients safely and perform physical tasks associated with caregiving.
- Strong organizational skills to manage time effectively while providing care.
