New Horizons is looking for a musically talented and creative Day Program Support employee to assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in reaching their individual goals. This unique position blends direct support with the opportunity to share and develop musical experiences within our Life Skills Day Program. The Day Program Support (DSP) will work with individuals to provide instruction in activities of daily living, facilitate engaging music-based activities, transport participants to community resources and events, teach new skills, and assist with personal care needs while the individual(s) attend the Life Skills Day Program. We are especially seeking someone who enjoys incorporating music, rhythm, and creative expression into daily activities-whether through singing, playing instruments, leading group jam sessions, or supporting musical appreciation and performance opportunities. A successful Day Program Support employee will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with the individuals they support. This role also requires strong problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills while encouraging participation, creativity, and inclusion through music. Day Program Support employees make a meaningful difference in the lives of the individuals they support-helping them grow, connect, and thrive through music and community involvement.
