The Day Program Staff position at Golden Rule Services, Inc. involves working in a day program setting with individuals who have developmental disabilities. The primary focus of this role is to teach life skills and assist individuals in achieving as much independence as possible. Staff members will be responsible for documenting individualized skills training tailored to the specific needs and desires of each participant. This includes interacting with individuals in social settings, leading groups in special projects, and assisting with lunch preparation and meals. Additionally, staff will provide supervision during community outings and follow directions from the day program coordinator. Participation in special needs training is also a requirement of the position. CPR certification is mandatory prior to hiring, and candidates must possess a valid Texas Driver's License (TDL) along with current auto liability insurance. The ideal candidate will have good communication skills and a basic understanding of developmental disabilities, with at least two years of experience preferred.
