About The Position

Supportive Concepts for Families, Inc, an Affiliate of Apis Services, is seeking a Program Specialist to oversee our ATP Program in Lebanon. This position will assist individuals in our ATP IDD Program under the 6100 Regulatory Compliance. POSITION STATEMENT The ATP AND LIFE SHARING Program Specialist will: Function with autonomy, diplomacy and professionalism within the guidelines established by this organization Promote the well being of the human aspect of this organization and report any concerns to the Day Program Function with the highest esteem in dealing with all employees, supervisors, and consumers of this organization Be an advocate for all of the policies and protocols of the organization Observes all ATP regulations

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or 60 credit hour equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years experience working with IDD population
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent writing, documentation, financial, and math skills
  • Excellent organization skills, detail oriented
  • Team Player

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day to day operations of the ATP program to include but not limited to: staff coverage, scheduling, training employees, monitoring the daily plan for activities, communicating with residential staff, identifying maintenance and repairs / purchases, ensuring a safe working environment for staff and consumers, compliance of state licensing and regulations, and implementing new policies and protocols.
  • Oversee, Perform, and direct the work of staff to include the following:
  • Medication
  • Ensure staff administering medications have completed and are current in medication administration training
  • Report all medication errors according to agency policy
  • Training
  • Complete required training and training hours
  • Monitor staff compliance with required training and training hours
  • Conduct orientation for all new employees/ fill-in staff
  • Conduct training for current employees
  • Provide documentation for all training to the Training Department
  • Complete understanding of 2380 and 6500 regulations
  • Maintain day program according to 2380 and 6500 regulations and agency policy
  • Maintain consumer files and records according to 2380 and 6500 regulations and agency policy
  • Maintain staff training according to 2380 and IC training according to 6500 regulations and agency policy
  • Documentation
  • Prepare monthly paperwork to include but not limited to medication logs, medication reviews, fire drills and goals
  • Participate in Annual ISP meetings
  • Complete necessary assessments according to regulations
  • Assist with and monitor proper completion of all required daily documentation for individuals
  • Elevate and file EIMs
  • Maintain financial records and submit as required
  • ATP Maintenance
  • Report maintenance needs / requests
  • Communicate all issues with Day Program and Life Sharing Lead
  • Understanding of all agency policies and procedures
  • ADP
  • Review ADP on a daily basis
  • Complete ADP reports for completion and accuracy
  • Staff meetings
  • Assist with staff meetings
  • Build staff teamwork / skills
  • Support consumers in goals/independence/behavior management
  • Interact with outside agencies (SAM, Inc., counselors, day programs, employers, family members)
  • Schedule recreational activities
