About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Day Program Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide support and assistance to people with developmental disabilities in a day program setting, promoting their independence and enhancing their quality of life.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in human services or a related field preferred.
Must have a valid Illinois driver's license and the ability to become PACE certified.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
Basic knowledge of developmental disabilities and related support services.
First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Must pass a post offer Drug test

Responsibilities

Assist people supported in daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and transportation.
Facilitate engaging activities that promote social interaction, skill development, and community involvement.
Support people in achieving their personal goals and objectives as outlined in their person-centered plans.
Maintain a safe and supportive environment for all participants.
Document and report on people's progress and any significant changes in behavior or health.
Collaborate with team members, families, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support.
Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
