About The Position

ServiceFM LLC is hiring a dependable and detail-oriented Full-Time Day Porter and Custodian to support daily custodial and housekeeping operations at a large residential and community facility. This role is essential to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate is proactive, reliable, and takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Requirements

• Previous custodial or janitorial experience is required
• Consistent and reliable attendance, with strong punctuality
• Must successfully pass a background check to work in a school environment
• Physically capable of performing labor-intensive tasks, including walking, bending, stretching, lifting up to 50 pounds, pulling, and pushing
• Demonstrates a strong work ethic, professionalism, and customer service mindset
• Works well independently and as part of a team
• Able to accurately track and log work hours using a smartphone or mobile device

Responsibilities

• Perform general custodial duties, including cleaning, sanitizing, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal.
• Maintain the cleanliness of common areas such as dining halls, kitchens,, restrooms, break rooms, hallways,offices, stairwells, and entrances.
• Assist with room preparation and deep cleaning of bedrooms, showers, and mattress coverings for new occupants.
• Clean and organize pantries and storage areas.
• Maintain floors and carpets as required.
• Help secure building entrances during assigned shifts and promptly report safety or maintenance concerns.
