About The Position

DAY PORTER – Part-Time About the Job: Part-Time Day Porter Property Address : 1840 Main Ct. Chula Vista CA 91911 Schedule: Monday - Saturday 7:00 am - 11:00 am ( 24 weekly hours ) Pay: $17.75 per hour Weekly Pay This is an ongoing temporary position with no defined end date at this time. Candidates should be comfortable with the flexible duration of the assignment. Requirements

Janitorial experience preferred.
Outstanding communication skills.
Punctual and dependable.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Meet the physical requirements: constantly walking, climbing stairs, pushing, pulling, reaching over the shoulder, lifting, and carrying.
Constant weight – 1-35 lbs. Occasional weight – 36-50 lbs.
Detail-oriented.
Ability to identify and manage priorities.
Ability to complete the physical requirements of the job.
Constant need (100% during production time) to be on foot.
Ability to bend/stoop/squat/kneel.
Climb the stairs.
Push, pull, reach over the shoulder.
Grasp and grip.
Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.

Day porter/janitor/custodian experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Pick up trash as needed and empty trash receptacles.
Perform cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, cleaning cobwebs, wiping down surfaces, restroom cleaning, etc.
Clean exterior surfaces of windows, windowsills, and doors.
Remove and/or clean up any debris or soil, such as stickers, chewing gum, coffee spills, graffiti, etc.
Continuously walk the property to inspect all public areas for cleanliness.
Notify the supervisor in case there is a need for repairs.
Required to always wear the appropriate safety equipment for the task, which includes gloves, goggles, a safety vest, and any other safety equipment that the task requires.
