About The Position

The Day Porter is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and professional environment throughout the building during business hours. This role focuses on high-visibility areas such as lobbies, restrooms, corridors, and common spaces, while responding promptly to tenant and property management requests.

Requirements

• Prior janitorial or porter experience preferred
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail
• Professional appearance and customer service skills
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
• Reliable transportation and punctuality required
• Strong time management
• Positive attitude and team mindset
• Ability to interact professionally with tenants and visitors
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of lobby, entrances, elevators, and common areas
• Monitor and service restrooms (restock supplies, wipe surfaces, spot mop)
• Perform continuous trash removal from common areas
• Respond to spills and urgent cleaning needs
• Spot vacuum and mop high-traffic areas
• Clean interior glass and entry doors as needed
• Maintain breakrooms and shared kitchen areas
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards
• Assist property management with special requests
