Summary The Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the property's interior and exterior common areas. This role ensures that the grounds are clean, safe, and presentable for residents and visitors. Additionally, the Porter will provide support to the maintenance and engineering team by assisting with basic tasks and ensuring a well-maintained environment. Action Property Management seeks a full-time Porter to join our team at Wilshire House in Los Angeles, CA.

Requirements

• Relevant experience in janitorial, porter, or maintenance preferred.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques, tools, equipment, and safety protocols for proper use.
• Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to lift, pull, and push up to 65lbs, stand for prolonged periods of time, squat, bend and reach above your head.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with residents, vendors, and team members.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning and upkeep of the exterior grounds, including walkways, courtyards, driveways, parking areas, entrances, pool deck, tennis court, dog park, and other outdoor spaces.
• Perform daily cleaning and upkeep of interior areas, including lobby, office space, event space, breakroom, restrooms, corridors, stairwells, elevators, buff floors, vacuum carpets, wipe surfaces, clean windows, Mirrors, blinds, empty trash, remove recyclables, etc.
• Remove litter, debris, and trash from common areas, ensuring proper disposal, rotate trash bins under trash chute and position trash bins for servicing.
• Assist in the upkeep of landscaping, removing weeds, leaves, fallen branches, and sweeping pathways.
• Report any maintenance or safety issues to department supervisor, maintenance department, or security team promptly.
• Assist with pressure washing sidewalks, driveways, and other exterior surfaces as needed.
• Support the maintenance and engineering team by carrying tools, supplies, and assisting with minor maintenance tasks.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper use of cleaning and maintenance equipment.
• Help set up and break down common areas for community events when needed.
• Perform seasonal duties such as covering pool furniture, and clearing drains as required.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
