About The Position

This position is responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy environment for our customer's buildings and grounds by performing essential duties and responsibilities. The role includes removing debris, maintaining common space areas, restocking bathrooms, and responding to all cleaning emergencies. The position requires performing all cleaning duties for facilities using provided products, tools, and procedures. Cleaning duties include sweeping, mopping, polishing, trash removal, window cleaning, and moving furniture and equipment. Additionally, the role involves maintaining inventory of supplies and equipment, using proper PPE where required, and placing safety hazard signs in the building as necessary. The position also requires monitoring, cleaning, servicing, and restocking bathrooms, responding immediately to any major spills or other cleaning crises, and removing litter and debris from common space areas.

Requirements

• Must be able to pass a background check.
• 1-2 years' experience as a custodian, janitor, or housekeeper is a plus but not required.
• Ability to be flexible and work at a fast pace in a multi-tasked job.
• Must be able to communicate in English.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working for a professional janitorial company, office complex, hotel, hospital, or school is a plus.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Clean all common space areas including kitchen, cafeteria, lobby, and break room.
• Place safety hazard signs in the building including 'wet floor' signs as necessary.
• Monitor, clean, service, and restock bathrooms.
• Respond immediately to any major spills or other cleaning crises.
• Remove litter and debris from common space areas.
