About The Position

This position is responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy environment for our customer's buildings and grounds by performing essential duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned. Overall duties include removing debris, maintaining common space areas, restocking bathrooms, and responding to all cleaning emergencies. The role involves performing all cleaning duties for facilities using provided ServiceMaster products, tools, and procedures. Cleaning duties include sweeping, mopping, polishing, trash removal, window cleaning, and moving furniture and equipment. Additionally, the position requires maintaining inventory of supplies and equipment, using proper PPE where required, and cleaning all common space areas including kitchens, cafeterias, lobbies, and break rooms. The custodian will also place safety hazard signs in the building, monitor, clean, service, and restock bathrooms, respond immediately to any major spills or other cleaning crises, and remove litter and debris from common space areas.

Requirements

• 1-2 years' experience as a custodian, janitor, or housekeeper is a plus but not required
• Ability to be flexible and work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked job
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Ability to communicate in English
• Respect and understanding for co-workers and customers
