About The Position

We are seeking an energetic, reliable, and detail-oriented Day Porter / Housekeeper to support the daily cleanliness, presentation, and upkeep of our golf and country club facilities. This role is essential in ensuring a welcoming, safe, and polished environment for our members, guests, and staff throughout the day. The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, is proactive in identifying needs, and understands the importance of excellent presentation in a member-focused club setting. This position works closely with club management and the maintenance team to ensure all common areas, locker rooms, and member spaces remain clean, well-stocked, and ready for use.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience as a porter, housekeeper, or custodian preferred (6–12 months minimum)
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings
  • Strong attention to detail and time-management skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, lifting, and performing cleaning tasks throughout the shift
  • Reliable, professional, and courteous with a positive attitude
  • Committed to performing all duties safely and in accordance with club policies

Nice To Haves

  • Background in hospitality, golf club, hotel, or resort environment is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and appearance of all common areas, including entryways, hallways, walkways, patios, verandas, locker corridors, and clubhouses
  • Perform ongoing cleaning throughout the day to ensure facilities meet club standards at all times
  • Monitor, clean, and service restrooms and locker rooms, including washing, folding, and restocking towels and toiletries
  • Remove trash, recycling, and debris from public areas, member spaces, and staff areas
  • Respond promptly and professionally to spills, accidents, or cleaning emergencies
  • Periodically clean doors, windows, glass surfaces, and high-touch areas
  • Restock supplies such as paper products, soaps, sanitizers, and towels as needed
  • Assist with inventory tracking and ordering of cleaning and maintenance supplies
  • Place appropriate safety signage (wet floors, cleaning in progress, etc.) to ensure member and staff safety
  • Report facility repair or maintenance concerns to the maintenance team in a timely manner
  • Support special events, tournaments, or peak member-use times by providing enhanced cleaning coverage
  • Uphold the club’s standards for professionalism, discretion, and member service at all times
  • Performs other job-related functions, within functional limitations and restrictions, as requested by supervisor
