About The Position

Position Overview: Operators are responsible for the production of high-quality product of consumer goods. This role requires maintaining quality and throughput standards, accurate record-keeping, and adherence to safety and food regulations.

Requirements

  • Ability to operate or learn to operate separators and clarifiers.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving operational issues.
  • Basic computer knowledge is helpful.
  • Ability to operate or learn to operate necessary equipment.
  • Excellent safety, attendance, and punctuality record.
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions in English.
  • Knowledge of proper use of cleaning chemicals.
  • Ability to navigate all areas of the facility, including office spaces, warehouse areas, and the exterior perimeter.
  • Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary to safely perform job duties.
  • Ability to stand, sit, and carry out tasks throughout a full shift, with appropriate meal breaks.
  • Physically capable of standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, and crouching as needed.
  • Able to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds independently and heavier objects with reasonable accommodations.
  • Visual acuity sufficient to perform job duties accurately.
  • Capable of assessing weights, judging distances, and working at various heights.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor separators to maintain quality and production efficiency.
  • Accurately maintain records and complete necessary paperwork.
  • Collect and process samples in a timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively with the shift supervisor and lead person regarding operational status.
  • Ensure quality meets established specifications.
  • Adjust settings on computers and separators as required or instructed.
  • Stay updated with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as equipment and processes evolve.
  • Comply with all occupational safety and health standards, including OSHA regulations.
  • Adhere to all applicable food safety regulations (Safe Quality Foods, FDA, Pasteurized Milk Ordinance).
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
