About The Position

The role of the Day Lead is crucial for the seamless operation of the store, focusing on meticulous supervision of daily activities on the sales floor. Requirements

  • Familiarity with retail management principles, including inventory, sales, and personnel management.

  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including stocking shelves, lifting boxes, and standing for extended periods.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods, typically 8-hour shifts.
  • Lift and carry items up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Perform repetitive motions such as reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, and handling products.
  • Climbing ladders to perform warehouse tasks at elevated heights.
  • Ability to perform tasks that require fine motor skills, such as using tools or handling small objects.
  • Operate equipment to move or store products and displays.
  • Maintain clear communication with customers and team members.
  • Move quickly and efficiently to assist customers and manage workload.
  • Maintain physical stamina to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Nice To Haves

  • Over one year of Grocery Clerk experience is preferred.
  • Complete the company’s OSHA-accredited forklift training.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing and assisting with inventory levels, ordering stock to ensure product availability, and managing stock rotation to minimize waste.
  • Train and manage floor employees, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing feedback.
  • Ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction by addressing customer concerns, providing product information, and maintaining a customer-friendly environment.
  • Coordinating the layout of the sales floor, organizing displays to maximize customer interest and sales, and ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are met.
  • Streamlining operations to enhance efficiency and productivity while reducing costs and improving the shopping experience.
  • Oversee proper processing/disposal of damaged goods and hazardous waste in the backroom and sales floor.
  • Address customer satisfaction issues and work with the Store Director/Combo or Grocery Manager to provide solutions to customer matters.
  • Communicate all product needs/concerns with the store management team.
  • Contact appropriate vendors and monitor work performed.
  • Greet all customers and provide prompt and courteous service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
