Day Labor - General Laborers
About The Position
Goodwill Staffing is a full-service staffing agency within Goodwill of Colorado, offering many employment opportunities such as temporary-to-hire and temporary day labor positions in the Colorado Springs and Denver areas. The GSS – General Laborers position will consist of short-term employment opportunities that may become temp-to-hire positions. This role is typically outdoors, exposing the incumbent to the elements, and is physically demanding, requiring walking, standing, twisting, bending, and/or carrying/moving heavy objects throughout the shift. The GSS – General Laborers position is customer facing and requires representing the Client and Goodwill in a positive manner.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently, with a team, and communicate effectively with customers.
- Reliable attendance is required.
- Ability to follow Goodwill and Client policies and procedures, including any State safety policies and procedures.
Nice To Haves
- A High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Clean up warehouses for manufacturers.
- Clean up debris at home builder construction sites.
- Work on construction sites with skilled workers.
- Provide customer service and set up events.
- Perform custodian or janitorial duties.
- Clean carpets in apartment complexes, including carrying and operating carpet cleaning machines.
