About The Position
The Day Habilitation Director at Mishkon oversees the day-to-day operations of the Day Habilitation program. This includes developing and coordinating services, ensuring compliance with OPWDD regulations, and promoting person-centered planning and community integration. Using the Person-Centered Planning approach, the Habilitation Manager develops and coordinates activities for individuals both on and off site in order to provide an enriching daytime environment connected to each individual’s life plan goals. The Day Habilitation Manager hires, supervises and professionally grows Day Habilitation staff, known as Habilitation Support Professionals (HSP) and liaises with clients, advocates, and other service providers on an ongoing basis for continuity of support. They conduct outreach, maintain census, oversee scheduling, ensure timely and proper billing and documentation, and are responsible for other administrative duties.
