About The Position

The Camp Nurse will be responsible for the health and well-being of campers and staff during the camp season, which runs from June 24 to August 16, 2024, with the camp being closed on July 4. The nurse will work from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm each day, ensuring that all medical needs are met and that a safe and inclusive environment is maintained.

Requirements

• Nursing License
• Prior experience working in school or camp setting preferred
• Professional and team player

Responsibilities

• Assessing and treating campers and staff throughout the camp day
• Administering medication and treatment as needed
• Logging all treatments and relaying critical information to guardians/camp leadership
• Keeping Camp Director apprised of all important incidents, notable trends, etc.
• Maintaining confidentiality of all campers and related information
• Managing nurse's office and all medical supplies
• Reviewing all camper and staff records prior to the start of camp
• Creating a safe, loving, inclusive camp environment
• Positively collaborating and working alongside other camp staff and senior staff team
