The YMCA of Greater Indianapolis is seeking enthusiastic, responsible, and energetic Summer Camp Counselors to help create unforgettable experiences for youth across our community. Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Experience working with children preferred (camp, babysitting, tutoring, coaching, etc.)
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work outdoors and remain active throughout the day
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Must pass required background screening

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise groups of children in daily camp activities
• Create a safe, inclusive, and fun environment
• Plan and facilitate games, crafts, sports, STEM activities, and outdoor activities
• Serve as a positive role model and mentor
• Support positive behavior management with patience and consistency
• Communicate professionally with parents and team members
• Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed at all times
