About The Position

This position is responsible for: Plans and provides activities and childcare services for children participating in the Summer Day Camp Program; plans, develops, and facilitates recreational activities and play time; prepares and maintains program records; maintains cleanliness and orderliness of Corps property.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED OR Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• This position requires a level 2 background screening.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and constant care for the needs of the children in an efficient, clean, loving, safe, secure, and healthy manner.
• Facilitates activities for school age children; ensures that activities are age appropriate, stimulating, fun and safe for the children.
• Prepares and serves children snacks and meals; ensures that children receive nutritional and tasteful food; provides positive, relaxed atmosphere during children mealtime encouraging conversation.
• Cleans up the game room, kitchen, and library daily; picks-up games and materials.
• Assists with transporting children whenever needed; ensures the safety and protection of children at all times.
• Attends and participates in regularly scheduled in-service training sessions.
