About The Position

The position involves the safe operation of a TADC with a 53’ dry van, utilizing new equipment and state-of-the-art technology. The role requires effective and efficient delivery of goods, with the added benefit of being home daily. The driver must comply with all federal, state, and local regulations for the secure and safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle (CMV). Responsibilities include conducting thorough pre-trip inspections, maintaining communication with dispatch, and ensuring all required shipping documentation accompanies deliveries.

Requirements

  • A valid Class A CDL without airbrake restrictions
  • Three (3) years of verifiable experience operating a CMV – 12 months or 150,000 miles
  • Read, write, speak, and clearly understand the English language
  • Complete and accurate DOT applications including a 7-year MVR
  • Meet or exceed the medical standard of DOT, including passing a physical exam and drug test
  • Possess a valid Social Security Card
  • No reckless driving violations in the last ten (10) years
  • No suspension of license in the last ten (10) years
  • No moving violations in the last three (3) years
  • No more than one (1) moving violation in the last five (5) years
  • No at fault accidents within the last five (5) years
  • No more than two (2) moving or non-moving violations in a five (5) year period
  • No failed or refused drug or alcohol test
  • No felony convictions within the last ten (10) years
  • Present a clean and professional appearance
  • Successful completion of Corrugated Logistics road test

Responsibilities

  • Safe effective, and efficient delivery of goods
  • Home daily
  • Safely operate a TAS with 53’ dry van
  • Perform all duties in accordance with Corrugated Logistics policies and procedures
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations for the secure and safe operation of a CMV
  • Conduct a thorough pre-trip inspection of the equipment assigned
  • Inspect tractor and trailer for defects during and after trips and submit a written report
  • Safely operate tractor trailer equipment in different configurations as assigned
  • Drop, hook, spot, switch and interchange equipment
  • Ensure that all required shipping documentation accompanies all deliveries
  • Properly secure or re-secure the cargo as required
  • Frequently communicate with Dispatch/Operations regarding stops, movements, and problems
  • Report all accidents or incidents involving company equipment
  • Maintain a driver’s log electronically in accordance with FMCSA and company requirements
  • Complete all necessary paperwork including inspection reports and manifests
  • Verify all shipping documentation against load information provided by dispatch
  • Perform roadside inspections as required by law and company policy
  • Work in adverse weather conditions
  • Perform work required in a timely manner to meet service schedules
  • Communicate professionally with persons in contact as a company representative
