Requirements

• Currently enrolled in Precision Machining Program at CT Tech school.
• Completed NIMS.
• Ability to run and program various CNC machines.
• Ability to stand/walk 95% of the day.
• Full dexterity of hands.
• Able to lift up to 35lbs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support the maintenance function to repair davenport screw machines, including replacing parts, fabricating parts, and troubleshooting the machine.
• Use a variety of hand tools and equipment including lathe and Bridgeport to make tools for davenport.
• Adhere to LOTO and all other PPE required for the area, including gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.
• Shadow the lead maintenance mechanic for 6 - 8 months at minimum.
• Log hours in accordance with the CT apprenticeship program and work towards Certification.
• Participate in Work Based Learning Program.
