We have an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled DataOps Engineer to join our innovative and dynamic team. As a DataOps Engineer, you are responsible for designing, operating, and optimizing data platforms in highly regulated healthcare and pharmaceutical environments. You bring strong hands‑on experience supporting cloud‑based data ecosystems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and enterprise security standards. You thrive at the intersection of data engineering, platform operations, and governance, enabling reliable and scalable data services. You are comfortable working in AWS and Databricks‑driven environments and understand the rigor required when handling sensitive healthcare data. You are proactive, detail‑oriented, and committed to building robust data hub services that meet both technical and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in DataOps, data engineering operations, or cloud data platform support.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with AWS services supporting data platforms (e.g., S3, IAM, networking, security controls).
  • Proven experience working with Databricks in production environments, including pipeline operations and performance optimization.
  • Background working in pharmaceutical or healthcare environments, with direct exposure to HIPAA‑regulated cloud systems.
  • Experience building or supporting data hub services within covered‑entity or regulated architectures.
  • Familiarity with data governance, security, monitoring, and operational best practices in regulated environments.

Nice To Haves

  • AWS and/or Databricks certifications preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Support and enhance DataOps practices across cloud‑based data platforms in a HIPAA‑compliant environment.
  • Build, operate, and maintain data hub services using AWS and Databricks within regulated pharma workflows.
  • Implement monitoring, reliability, and operational processes to ensure data pipeline stability, performance, and observability.
  • Collaborate with data engineering, security, governance, and compliance teams to ensure adherence to HIPAA and enterprise controls.
  • Support deployment, optimization, and lifecycle management of Databricks workloads and AWS data services.
  • Contribute to documentation, operational runbooks, and continuous improvement initiatives for regulated data platforms.
