About The Position

This position is for an intern Software Engineer for the Commercial Systems Data Link Products team. The Data Link Products, a crucial part of our operations, consist of software/hardware onboard an aircraft to utilize digital communications between the air and ground to help reduce voice communications and provide real-time information on the operation of the aircraft. The selected candidate, as a key member of our team, must be a self-starter, have excellent problem solving, data analysis, and critical thinking skills, be highly motivated, take initiative, and be able to excel in a high-performance work team environment.

Requirements

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company’s immigration sponsorship now or in the future. The company will not offer immigration sponsorship for this position.​ The company will not seek an export authorization for this role.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and provide ongoing support for embedded systems software to meet technical and customer requirements
• Design and code based on low-level software requirements
• Build, test, and deliver real-time embedded software to target environments in support of program and customer commitments
• Assist with system-level testing, working closely with cross-functional areas to coordinate desired solutions, documenting problem reports and working on resolution activities
• Participate in Design and Code Reviews with other team members to identify and eliminate problems early in the development process.
