About The Position

As a Microsoft Datacenter Project Manager (DCPM), you will play a crucial role in supporting the field operations leadership team to implement strategic initiatives at the campus level. This position involves overseeing financial planning, performance reviews, and managing scheduling conflicts with stakeholders to ensure projects are executed on time and within budget. You will be part of the Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) team, which is responsible for delivering core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services.

Requirements

  • High School Qualification or equivalent AND 2+ years experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
  • Experience delivering server and network deployment projects in large-scale environments.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years' experience in Critical Environment infrastructures (e.g. Generator, AHU).
  • Technical College degree in Computer Science, Math, Telecommunications, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Certifications: Inventory Control, CompTIA, Microsoft, Network Certifications, Project Management Professional, Information Technology Infrastructure Library, Certified Data Centre Professional.

Responsibilities

  • Provide program governance, leadership, and direction for all projects at the campus level.
  • Support the DC Project Manager with project estimation, budget management, and ROI calculations.
  • Formulate project delivery strategies while establishing milestones and schedules.
  • Maintain and report project status, monitor progress, and act as an escalation point.
  • Support the Campus Director with Field Employee communications, including town halls and local campus communications.
  • Liaise with the Data Center Operational Efficiencies team for financial planning and performance reviews.
  • Identify and manage scheduling conflicts with stakeholders across IT, CE, and Facilities teams.
  • Hold self-accountable for service quality, completeness, and customer experience.
  • Support escalation of issues to appropriate owners.
