Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Knowledge of fiber terms and troubleshooting is needed.
  • Ability to drive company vehicle throughout the day.
  • Ability to lift various items (up to 75lbs) and stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to climb ladders as required.
  • Background check and driver’s license check required.

Nice To Haves

  • BICSI and industry Certifications are preferred.
  • OSHA safety certification 10/30.
  • HILTI powder actuated tools certification.
  • Confined Space certification.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of Datacenter installation Projects under the guidance of the Lead Technician, Supervisor, and Project Manager.
  • Assume total ownership from the receipt of completed engineering work package to delivery of project completion and final documentation.
  • Provide great customer service and deliver projects according to the customer’s expectations.
  • Demonstrate leadership and strategic thinking in project execution.
  • Stay current with the latest technologies and installation procedures.
  • Run small, medium, and large projects when required.
  • Direct the team in assembling, installing, and securing various cable trays, racks, and cabinets used in telecommunications closets.
  • Ensure compliance with TIA/EIA standards and BICSI standards for installation and termination of copper and fiber products.
  • Interpret test results from fiber and copper testers and troubleshoot as necessary.
