Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Detail oriented, analytical, and process-focused.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player.
  • Good organizational, written, and verbal skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a positive, proactive approach.
  • Willingness to travel and have a flexible work schedule.
  • Knowledge of fiber terms and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to drive a company vehicle throughout the day.
  • Ability to lift various items, stand for long periods, and climb ladders.

Nice To Haves

  • BICSI and industry certifications.
  • OSHA safety certification 10/30.
  • HILTI powder actuated tools certification.
  • Confined Space certification.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of Datacenter installation Projects under the guidance of the Lead Technician, Supervisor, and Project Manager.
  • Assume total ownership from the receipt of completed engineering work package to delivery of project completion and final documentation.
  • Provide great customer service and deliver projects according to the customer’s expectations.
  • Stay current with the latest technologies and installation procedures.
  • Run small, medium, and large projects when required.
  • Direct the team in assembling, installing, and securing various cable trays, racks, and cabinets used in telecommunications closets.
  • Interpret test results from fiber and copper testers and successfully troubleshoot and repair the fiber or copper cable plant.
