About The Position

State Street Global Technology Services ERM systems is looking for a developer to buid Databricks workspace in AWS cloud environment. We are looking for a Databricks developer with strong Python and big data skills for real time data analysis and reporting. What you will be responsible for As a Developer you will Perform the technical design, development, integration, and testing efforts for data using various development languages and tools to create quality solutions that meet the Realtime and batch based business requirements Develops and maintains complex systems Supports production systems to ensure business continuity Works with key stakeholders to design solutions for complex requirements Innovates on and advocates for best practices and improved team processes; mentors junior team members What we value These skills will help you succeed in this role 3+ years of overall IT experience 1 to 3 years of hands on experience in cloud-based development(Databricks with AWS cloud services) and integration Extensive experience in Java, J2EE or Python Solid tech skillset/experience in Big Data/Data Model, PySpark Strong knowledge on Spark technology - Data engineering pipeline Strong Experience in complex SQL Experience working in an agile delivery environment Exposure/understanding of DevOps best practice and CICD (i.e. Jenkins, Git, ) Strong communication, and problem-solving skills Education & Preferred Qualifications Masters or B.S. degree in Computer Science or related field Certified Databricks Engineer/Professional Be self-directed, requiring minimal supervision while achieving consistent, timely delivery of objectives A good understanding of the business and the respective functional domain Holding good experience of working directly with clients to understand the individual needs of the business MUST be able to demonstrate strong functional, technical & problem-solving skills Additional requirements Communicate effectively in a professional manner both written and orally Team player with a positive attitude enthusiasm initiative and self-motivation Ability to multi-task energetic fast learner & problem solver

Requirements

  • 3+ years of overall IT experience
  • 1 to 3 years of hands on experience in cloud-based development(Databricks with AWS cloud services) and integration
  • Extensive experience in Java, J2EE or Python
  • Solid tech skillset/experience in Big Data/Data Model, PySpark
  • Strong knowledge on Spark technology - Data engineering pipeline
  • Strong Experience in complex SQL
  • Experience working in an agile delivery environment
  • Exposure/understanding of DevOps best practice and CICD (i.e. Jenkins, Git, )
  • Strong communication, and problem-solving skills
