About The Position

This role is an experienced Data Architect with a strong focus on designing, implementing, and managing end-to-end data platform solutions using Databricks technologies on the Azure cloud. Under the office of the Customer Experience team, which is the home for the enterprise data and analytics function, and working closely with colleagues in IT, this role will support the efforts of the data and analytics team to ensure business value is derived from our data infrastructure in the early development and maturation of our data infrastructure.

Requirements

• Must live in; AZ, CO, ID, MT, NV, TX, UT, WA, or WY.
• Must be able to work on a W‑2 basis now and in the future.
• Need to live in, or be willing to relocate, to one of the following nine state that Glacier Bancorp bank divisions operate in: Montana, Idaho, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, Nevada, Texas, Arizona, or Colorado.

Responsibilities

• Delta Live Tables (DLT) pipeline design and orchestration
• Databricks Workflows / Jobs configuration and scheduling
• Dimensional data modeling (star/snowflake schemas, slowly changing dimensions)
• Metadata framework design and data cataloging strategy
• Performance tuning and cost optimization within the Databricks platform
• Unity Catalog governance and access control design
• Databricks-centric data architecture expertise
