The Software Application Development Engineer at Intel's Technology Development (TD) Data Engineering team plays a crucial role in delivering innovative solutions for Fab Manufacturing and Engineering. This position involves collaborating with end users globally to address their needs, executing testing and implementation of software solutions, and providing ongoing support in a high-visibility role that operates 24/7. The engineer will be responsible for gathering requirements, analyzing processes, managing stakeholder expectations, and prioritizing changes in manufacturing execution systems.

  • Collaborate with internal customers to identify emerging data and business needs.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations to solve technical and manufacturing challenges.
  • Execute implementation and testing of application/database software releases.
  • Adapt and prioritize work based on the changing needs of the factory.
  • Provide L3 end user support by participating in a 24x7 on-call rotation.
  • Co-develop tools and business processes that support efficiency.
  • BS degree with 10+ years of experience, or MS degree with 5+ years of experience, or PhD degree with 3+ years of experience in Information Systems, Computer Science, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance.
  • 2+ years' experience with PL/SQL development.
  • 2+ years' experience with RDBMS schema design development.
  • Oracle Certification (OCA, OCP, or OCM).
  • Experience with RDBMS Systems (Oracle, MS-SQL, Postgres etc.).
  • C# Programming Language.
  • Agile Programming and DevOps Practices.
  • Experience with Software/Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • LEAN methodologies.
  • Experience with Business Process analysis and documentation.
  • Experience with 24/7 manufacturing environment.
