The Database Security Analyst position at State Street is a technical role within the Global Cybersecurity IAM Organization's Architecture and Engineering team. The primary focus is on database access provisioning development and support, with responsibilities including analyzing database security controls, improving security posture, and ensuring compliance with security requirements. The role requires strong communication skills to coordinate between business and technology teams, as well as documentation of security policies and procedures.

  • Analyze current database security controls and make recommendations for improving the security posture.
  • Communicate and coordinate with business and technology teams to provide guidance on security controls and vulnerability remediation.
  • Act as a bridge between support and development teams to clarify security requirements.
  • Document security control policies and SOPs.
  • Provide L3 and L4 support as needed.
  • Assist in release and production validation processes.
  • Experience in identity and access management domain.
  • Experience working with Audit and Forensics in the Financial Services industry.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Database Administration and Database Architect competencies with a security focus.
  • Exposure to multiple database servers including Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Sybase, PostgreSQL.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with PL/SQL, Linux, Cloud web services, and application servers.
  • Understanding of Secure API Development and technical proficiency in Java/J2EE.
  • Full stack web development experience in at least one industry standard stack.
  • Security domain knowledge with relevant security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP/CSSLP).
  • Knowledge of cloud-based solutions such as PaaS and IaaS.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps.
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and GitHub.
