About The Position
Seeking a Database Engineer with strong experience supporting enterprise-scale, cloud-hosted databases, primarily within AWS environments. This role focuses on database administration, performance optimization, data modeling, and operational reliability, ensuring high availability and efficiency for mission-critical systems. The position is funded through March 2026 and most likely will push through June 2026. Responsibilities
- Manage enterprise databases hosted on AWS RDS and EC2
- Perform database performance tuning (query optimization, indexing, configuration)
- Design and optimize schemas, tables, indexes, and views
- Identify and resolve data inconsistencies and database-related issues
- Support database reliability, scalability, and operational health
- Monitor database performance using metrics and monitoring tools
