  • Recognized as a technical authority in database administration, possessing extensive experience and deep expertise in advanced database technologies, architecture, and industry best practices.
  • Provide strategic leadership in the development and implementation of enterprise-wide database strategies, ensuring alignment with critical business objectives, evolving industry standards, and emerging technologies.
  • Provide expert-level guidance, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to all Database Administrators, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Lead the design and implementation of highly complex database solutions, including high-availability clusters, multisite disaster recovery systems, and cloud-native database deployments.
  • Conduct advanced performance optimization, proactive capacity planning, and comprehensive security assessments to ensure optimal database performance, scalability, and security posture.
  • Collaborate with application developers, Architects, business stakeholders, and executive leadership to design and implement efficient data models, enterprise-level database solutions, and comprehensive data governance policies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field, Degree can be substituted with additional 4 years of experience.
  • 9 years of experience with 5 years of position-specific relevant experience.
  • DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification obtained within 6 months of starting on program.
  • Strong understanding of database architecture, indexing, and query optimization.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting DoD programs and with cloud-based technologies, Risk Management Framework, and Zero Trust Architecture.
  • ITIL Foundation certificate.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle DBA, Microsoft Certified Database administrator) are a plus.
  • Experience at a DoD Combatant Command (e.g., SOUTHCOM, NORTHCOM, CENTCOM, CYBERCOM, INDOPACOM, EUCOM, AFRICOM, STRATCOM, TRANSCOM, SOCOM, SPACECOM) or a component is desired.
