About The Position

AMSG is seeking a Database Developer/Administrator to support, maintain, and enhance our Microsoft SQL Server environment in support of the Department of Veterans Acquisition Academy located in Fredrick, Maryland. AMSG supports a variety of programs for the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Defense Health Agency (DHA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Washington Headquarters Service (WHS), and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). Requirements

• Proven experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration and development.
• Strong skills in SQL, stored procedures, and SSRS reporting.
• Experience designing and scheduling SQL Server jobs (SQL Agent).
• Knowledge of database performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Power BI, PowerApps, or Power Automate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases.
• Develop, deploy, and maintain SSRS reports.
• Create and manage SQL Server jobs to automate database loading and updates.
• Ensure database performance, reliability, backups, and security compliance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into data solutions.
• Support business intelligence and automation initiatives with Power BI, PowerApps, and Power Automate.
