Requirements

  • Experience with maintaining the integrity, security, and availability of database(s)
  • Experience with administering, maintaining, and implementing policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the database(s)
  • Experience providing server administration with a variety of database products that include Oracle, SQL Server, and SYBASE
  • Experience performing disaster recovery, performance analysis and tuning, index maintenance, and monitoring of data
  • Experience directing the monitoring, administrating, and implementing performance on database systems as well as database performance optimization, developing/changing database indices, redesigning database structure and reloading data into a database
  • Ability to establish and maintain database user accounts
  • Ability to evaluate requirements and recommend available DBMS products
  • Ability to support data modeling activities by way of prototype database implementation
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (computer science, electrical engineering, intelligence studies, or related discipline) and 10 years of demonstrated experience

  • Organize and format data for efficient query and storage processes
  • Experience performing database and software life-cycle activities to ensure highest level of system performance and availability
  • Experience coordinating database architecture changes with Database Engineer (DBE)s

Responsibilities

  • Perform intermediate-level database analysis and database updates independently with broad tasking and guidance.
  • Lead database analysis tasks, validate database updates and corrections.
  • Provide technical expertise to junior analysts.
  • Perform and validate initiatives related to data modeling, optimization, and data integrity.
  • Validate database change requests.
