About The Position

You will be the Database Administrator & Application Developer for the dPLM Program Team. Our team designs, implements, and continuously improves the mission critical databases that power Lockheed Martin’s 1LMX initiatives and product life cycle management efforts. What You Will Be Doing As the Database Administrator & Application Developer you will own the health, performance, and security of our Oracle and SAP HANA environments while delivering high impact SQL and reporting solutions. You’ll work hand in hand with engineers, program managers, and customers to make sure data is reliable, protected, and instantly accessible across development, test, staging, and production systems.

Requirements

  • Windchill PDMLink experience or similar PLM application experience
  • Strong SQL skills and understanding of relational databases
  • System Architecture
  • SAP S4 familiarity
  • Manufacturing Execution System Familiarity (Apriso)
  • Configuration Management Experience
  • MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, patch, and upgrade Oracle and SAP HANA databases in all environments.
  • Design, develop, and maintain PL/SQL, SQL, and SAP HANA native scripts to support application features and reporting needs.
  • Tune database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement indexing, partitioning, and optimizer level fixes.
  • Create, test, and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies; conduct regular restore drills.
  • Implement and enforce security policies, role based access controls, and data encryption standards.
  • Build and support automated deployment pipelines (e.g., CI/CD) for schema changes and code releases.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, ad hoc queries, and scheduled reports for stakeholders.
  • Monitor system health with alerts, logs, and metrics; troubleshoot and resolve incidents promptly.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to integrate database changes into application code and QA cycles.
  • Document architecture, procedures, and best practice guidelines; provide training and mentorship to junior staff.
  • Liaise with vendors and internal audit teams to ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
