About The Position

The Database Administrator II supports the design, implementation, and ongoing management of institutional databases and related applications. Under the guidance of the DBA III, this role assists with database administration, performance monitoring, and data integrity tasks. The position contributes to the stability and security of critical systems and helps ensure compliance with institutional policies and regulatory requirements. This position may perform other duties as assigned. Working conditions include a standard office environment with occasional after-hours or on-call responsibilities during system outages or maintenance windows. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious relationships with others.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• At least two years of experience working with relational database management systems.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with database security practices and FERPA compliance.
• Experience supporting enterprise applications in higher education.
• Strong documentation and troubleshooting skills.
