The Database Administrator II is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and upgrading NoSQL-based Database systems. This role involves using various technologies such as Graph Solr, SAI indexing, Spark analytics, and materialized views, as well as cloud technologies including Tinkerpop, Gremling, PySpark, Scala Spark Clear, and Stargate. The administrator will work with DSE 6.8 core components and concepts, develop application requirements, and suggest appropriate NoSQL database technology that meets business and application needs. Collaboration with multiple teams to resolve issues and ensure security and deployment standards is essential. The role also includes provisioning and automating DSE/Cassandra in cloud environments like MS Azure and AWS, architecting and maintaining fault-tolerant DSE models, and determining disaster recovery strategies to minimize downtime. Additionally, the administrator will automate deployments, tune components for high availability, design and model data for DSE Graph, and perform migrations from external data sources.
