About The Position

If you are motivated and believe in the credit union philosophy of 'People Helping People,' join our team! Responsible for ensuring that all data stored in databases are handled efficiently and securely and to maximize the availability of that data to users and applications.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 0 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of the management of database security, backup and recovery principles and procedures.
• Must have previous experience utilizing SQL Code based on the SQL query language to manipulate and retrieve data.
• Capable of navigating Windows OS and storage solutions.
• Must be able to cooperate and collaborate with others.
• Have a proactive mindset that enables anticipating changes in data storage and or cybersecurity needs.

Nice To Haves

• Associates Degree in Computer Information Systems or Information Technology.
• 2 years of relevant experience.
• Prior experience with using tools to interact with database systems.
• Linux knowledge preferred but not required.
• Relevant Database Administrator Certification Exam.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with experienced DBA's and will act as their backup and learn alongside them.
• Monitor and help troubleshoot performance issues.
• Monitor, manage and resolve incoming Service Desk tickets.
• Coordinate and implement database changes requested by developers.
• Perform database backup and restores.
• Responsible for day-to-day operations, support, and maintenance of the business systems and associated databases.
